The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) is proud to announce that PDX Football Club (Portland, OR) has joined the league as an expansion team. The club will compete in the West Region’s Northwest Conference.
“The NPSL is very excited to continue to grow the Northwest Conference,” NPSL Chairman Joe Barone commented. “We made a commitment to the area years ago and we’re thrilled to see six of our teams in this soccer hotbed.”
PDX FC is led by Luke and Max Babson. Luke Babson, who will act as coach/owner, currently serves as the assistant women’s soccer coach at Western Oregon University, while also having experience coaching with Eastside Timbers, Portland Timbers, and the Portland Thorns youth programs. Max Babson, who will serve in the role of administrator/owner, is a lifelong lover of the game with a background in media production, spending time with BeIn SPORTS and the Pac-12 Networks.
“With the arrival for Kitsap SC, Spokane Shadow, and Pierce County this year, we are thrilled to be part of the new Northwest Conference,” Luke Babson noted. “The NPSL provides the best platform for our club to succeed in the region while being a part of a national league.”

“As a newly formed club, we see this as an amazing opportunity to create a culture that players, families, fans, and the community are proud of,” Luke Babson concluded. “We want PDX Football Club to be an active member of the local soccer scene. Our players and staff will be actively involved in the community and we seek to make a difference at the grassroots level.”
